Our VISION

Port Hope & District Historical Society

To keep alive and bring to life, for young and old, and to preserve for generations to come, the history and heritage of our region [the township of Hope and the town of Port Hope, Ontario] through meetings, lectures, displays, presentations, and other functions, and to involve other heritage groups as well as elementary, high school, and university students in these activities.

To maintain and operate Dorothy’s House Museum as a display case of a workman’s family and lifestyle in the mid-19th century.
